I am Novitskaseta. I hope that this site will serve as a portfolio and/or blog for any projects I might be working on. I frequently start and then abandon creative works, so I hope that this will be different.
I am currently playing around with sounds from the tail end of the 8-bit era. I have been working with a friend on some music composition software that targets the MSX2. So, the main chips I use are the YM2413 (OPLL), YM2149 or AY-3-8910 (PSG), and Konami SCC. When I am not testing the new music software, I tend to use MuSICA in an MSX2 emulator. I do own an MSX1 machine with a Konami SCC cart, but that machine lacks the OPLL chip, which was only standard for the MSX2.

I have a background in graphic design and web design, not so much in traditional art. I am trying to figure out how to delve into traditional art without leaving the bubble of familiarity I have constructed for myself in the digital landscape. I got an old drawing tablet and am determined to figure out how to sketch the ideas stuck in my head! Krita is the drawing software of choice for now, though Inkscape calls to me like the siren's song.
To pass the time I am going through some old drawing books and taking notes. The notes are then uploaded to this neo-site for my reference, and also for yours. Feel free to look over them!
